Asserting that running a coalition government is a 'difficult task', Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has advised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to follow Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's example on how to run a coalition.

"He has got elected as the Chief Minister and Congress has supported from outside. My personal opinion to it is that, this government must run, but those who run the government must also take care before speaking," Shinde said on Sunday.

"For instance, Dr Manmohan Singh runs a coalition government, it's a very difficult task. That's an example before the country," he added.

Kejriwal on Saturday took oath as Delhi's seventh chief minister in a huge ceremony at the Ramlila Maida that was attended by over a lakh people.

Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government will seek a vote of confidence on January 2 on the floor of Delhi Assembly.

AAP has a tally of 28 MLAs in the 70-member House and its government is backed an eight-member Congress.

BJP is the largest single party in the assembly with 31 members.
