Nitish appointed as head of Committee on Petition in Legislative Council

Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was today appointed as head of the Committee on Petition in the state Legislative Council.

The appointment of Kumar has been made keeping in view his stature, seniority and long political experience," Chairperson of Legislative Council Awdesh Narayan Singh told PTI.

The post was lying vacant after the death of Birkeshwar Prasad Singh of BJP, he said.

Kumar is a member of the Legislative Council.
