Ivanka Trump, US President Donald Trump’s daughter, will lead a delegation of officials, women entrepreneurs and businessmen for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 at Hyderabad, a three-day summit beginning Tuesday. The summit will be attended by 1,500 entrepreneurs from 170 countries. It will have around 350 participants from the US. Ivanka Trump will deliver the keynote address at the summit, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi’s Gujarat yatra

PM Narendra Modi is slated to campaign in Gujarat from Monday and address over 15 public rallies. According to a tentative plan, Modi will address rallies in Bhuj, Amreli, Vapi and Kamrej on Monday. On Wednesday, he is likely to visit Navsari, Bharuch, Junagadh and Bhavnagar. On December 3, he is slated to visit Talala, Morbi and Rajkot, followed by a visit to Ahmedabad to inaugurate the SGVP hospital. He will return on December 4 to tour Surendranagar, Palitana, Keshod and Jamnagar. The PM will address 11 rallies in Saurashtra and four in South Gujarat.

A winning formula

The last phase of the civic body polls in Uttar Pradesh will be held on November 29. Elections to urban local bodies are witnessed as a litmus test of the state government’s popularity. These elections could have a ripple effect on the Assembly polls in Gujarat. Votes will be counted for the civic polls in Uttar Pradesh on December 1. For Chief Minister Adityanath, the elections come against a background of job losses caused by his government’s decision to close down illegal slaughterhouses and deaths of 63 children at Baba Raghav Das Medical College Hospital in Gorakhpur in August. Adityanath started the election campaign with a rally in Ayodhya and has timed the campaign so that he holds one rally in all municipal areas.
