The Congress on Saturday termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government's demonetisation drive, and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) as 'deficiencies'.
Speaking to ANI here, senior Congress leader M. Veerappa Moily said, "Already three years, what they (BJP) are doing is announcing one event after another and the demonetisation drive, GST destroyed the Indian economy, These are all the deficiencies."
He further asserted that the BJP government lacks good governance and that is why they have failed miserably on its election promises.
Former finance minister and BJP leader Yashwant Sinha had earlier castigated Finance Minister Arun Jaitley of making a mess of the Indian economy.

Jaitley also took the occasion to downplay remarks that the economy is on a downward spiral and said, "The Direct tax figures are 15.7 per cent over and above last year's figure, so this so-called slowdown visualised by some, hasn't even impacted.
