BJP President Rajnath Singh was today ambiguous on the possibility of a tie-up with Ramvilas Paswan-led LJP for the Lok Sabha polls.

"I am not aware... If some announcement has to be made, you will be told," he told reporters here when asked for comments over speculation of an alliance between two parties for Lok Sabha polls in Bihar.

Asked if BJP was close to sealing a deal with LJP, he shot back, "there is no truth in such reports".

On whether parleys are underway between BJP and LJP, Singh said discussions keep taking place among different parties.

Singh's comments came on the sidelines of an event here after dalit leader Udit Raj joined BJP.

Meanwhile, a BJP leader from Bihar Sanjay Paswan said the two parties were on the verge of a tie-up and announcement would be made shortly.

"One Dalit leader has joined us today. Another will join in a day or two. So BJP will have two of the three important dalit leaders who were so far outside it," Sanjay Paswan said.

BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said many parties are thinking of joining BJP which is surging and Congress is losing.

He, however, said anything could be shared only when something concrete happens.
