Notwithstanding BJP's stand, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Badal today said here that Indian National Lok Dal is the only party which can uplift the poor and farmers in Haryana.

While BJP is keeping a distance from the INLD, whose top echelon is in jail after JBT scam, the saffron party's ally SAD appeared embracing the party.

"There is anti-Congress wave in the country and INLD will play a vital role in formation of the government at the Centre," Sukhbir said.

SAD has an alliance with the BJP in Punjab, but BJP has preferred Haryana Janhit Congress-BL over INLD in Haryana for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Dushyant is the son of Ajay Chautala. Ajay along with his father Om Parkash Chautala is lodged in Tihar Jail at New Delhi in connection with the JBT teachers scam.

Dushyant's mother Naina Devi filed nomination papers as a covering candidate for her son before the District Election Officer (DEO) M L Kaushik.

Also present at the occasion were Haryana INLD chief Ashok Arora and other party leaders.

Later, INLD organised a rally at the old government college ground here which was addressed by Badal and INLD leaders.
