ANMI to Chair Asian Forum for Investor Education (AFIE)

Becomes first Indian body to head the most prestigious Investor Education forum in the Asia Pacific region

The Association of National Exchange Members of India(ANMI) today announced the appointment of Dr. Naresh Maheshwari, President of ANMI as the Chairman of Asia Forum for Investor Education(AFIE) at the AGM held in Seoul, South Korea. He will take over from Mr. Kun Ho Hwang, Present Chairman of AFIE .ANMI would now be represented in Global Sub Committee and Regional Committee of international forum for Investor Education in USA.

The appointment of Dr Maheshwari assumes significance as it is for the first time that an Indian organisation has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading an important International organization working towards investor education and advancement of Capital Markets in the region.

Dr. Naresh Maheshwari, FCA, ACS, FISA is a Doctorate in Derivatives and author of Handbook of “Investor Education & Protection and Risk Management through options in Indian Capital Markets”. He is an internationally acclaimed authority in matters relating to Capital Market, Investor Education and Financial Products. He has represented ANMI in various International forums like ICSA, ICMA, and ASF. Speaking on the occasion , Dr Maheshwari said, “ It’s a proud moment for all of us at ANMI for having given the opportunity to Chair a prestigious forum like AFIE. A well organised financial education system enables investors to make informed decisions and better manage their financial future. We at AFIE are committed towards furthering investor education, improving investor confidence and overall development of Capital Markets.”
