The Bhubaneswar based ARSS Infrastructure Projects Limited, focusing on construction of roads, highways, bridges, irrigation projects and EPC activities for Indian railways has secured two construction orders, collectively worth Rs 103.56 crore from the Office of the Chief Engineer, National Highway in Odisha.
The two orders, worth Rs 54.72 crore and Rs 48.91 crore, involve widening and strengthening of the existing lane to a two lane carriage way on NH 224 and NH 217 respectively.
Earlier in the month, the company has bagged several prestigious projects, which include road construction order worth Rs 153.91 crore in Parlakhemundi, Odisha and an order worth Rs 36.31 crore from SAIL. The latter involves construction and up gradation of railways tracks for RSP yards and in plant new lines at Rourkela.
The company recorded positive numbers in the first quarter of FY 2010-11. PAT increased by 80% to Rs. 34.05 crore as compared to Rs 18.90 crore in the same period previous year. Its Income swelled by 59% to Rs 356.48 crore and EPS increased 52% to Rs 22.94.
Commenting on the order, Mr. Sunil Agarwal, President & CEO, said, “The month of August has been extremely fruitful for us as we have secured several prestigious projects. After a successful first quarter, these projects indicate positive growth in the second quarter and FY 2010-11 at large. We are committed to excel and establish our stronghold in the infra sector.”
