Dhanuka Agritech gets Forbes Asia 'Best Under a Billion Company' award

Pesticide major Dhanuka Agritech Limited was awarded as one of the “Best Under a Billion” companies, by Mr Christopher Forbes, Vice Chairman Forbes, at a glittering award dinner and ceremony held on Nov 23rd at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong. Mr Rahul Dhanuka, Director (Marketing), Dhanuka Agritech Limited, received the award on behalf of the company.

Forbes Asia’s “Best Under A Billion” companies are Asia Pacific’s top small and mid size listed companies. Looking at profitability, growth, modest indebtedness and future prospects, Forbes editors picked Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. as one of the 200 companies, out of a universe of nearly 13,000 Asia-Pacific companies with actively traded shares and sales between US$5 million and US$1 billion.

The company’s inclusion in the Forbes list comes close on the heels of the recent certifications being accorded to the company, such as the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for maintaining global standards on laboratory testing procedures and the ISO 14001:2004 for its manufacturing plant’s compliance with global standards.

Dhanuka Agritech Limited, a leading player in agro-chemicals, fertilizers and seeds posted a 20.67% rise in revenue and a 33% jump in the net profit for the quarter ended September 30th, 2010, over the same period of the previous year.
