IMT Dubai’s third batch of 250 MBA students (class of 2008) have all been offered internship opportunities by the companies in both UAE and India despite the economic downturn. Some of the well-established and reputed companies in India that offered the internship opportunities to IMT Dubai students are- Abn Amro, Aircel, Alcatel-lucent, Axis Bank, Bajaj Allianz, Bata, Bennett Colman, Bharti Airtel, Coca Cola, CNBC Awaz, DLF, DS Group, HSBC, Honda, GMR, IDBI Bank, IL& FS, Future Group, Fortis Healthcare, ITC, Kotak AMC, Modi Revlon, Moser Baer, Microsoft, LG Electronic, Punjab National Bank, OCM, Nokia, Jindal Steel, Maruti Suzuki, Siemens, Skoda, Pantaloon Retail, Toyota, TCS, Standard Charted, Reliance Retail limited, SBI Mutual Fund and companies in UAE that offered the internship opportunities to IMT Dubai students are- AC Nielsen, Acer, Al Danube, Al Khazna Insurance, Alstom, Brand Moxie Capital Club, Classic Partnership Advertising, HDFC, IBM, Eros, Eidos, Dubai Steel, Frost & Sullivan, Horwath Mak, Citi Bak, Depa, KPMG, Landmark, Karvy, Reliance Capital, KEC International, Le Meridian, Mint, Pinnacle, TNT Express, Yamaha, Nikai Group, Sol Group, Signature, Seven seas, Vars Boffin, UAE Exchange and Sports Cities International.
Dr. A.M. Sherry, Chairman - Joint Admission Committee and Dean IMT (CDL) said, ‘we are feeling very proud for this year internship program in IMT, Dubai, because despite the economic downturn our students recruit in world best-known companies as interns. It is another landmarks achievement of IMT Dubai after successful completed their placement season. He says, ‘ the in-company internship at IMT Dubai is a key element of the learning process and as such is an integral part of the programme. The internship assignment is conducted on an individual basis. It is monitored and supervised by the faculty members together with a designated company mentor. The internship provides the students with the opportunity to work for a period of 8 weeks in a company/ organization in Dubai or abroad and to apply the tools and skills learned during the course of studies into real business situations’.
Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Dubai has its MBA Program officially accredited by the U.A.E Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research. IMT Dubai also achieved a landmark when the institute became the first Indian Management institute who granted licensed by the U.A.E Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research to offer higher education in U.A.E.
