Loyala Marymount University, College of Business Administration, Los Angeles which is ranked among top part time program for working professionals in USA visited Amity University Campus, Sector -125, Noida. The delegation was led by Dr. Jeffrey Gale, Chair Department of Management accompanied by eight MBA students who are working full time and pursuing MBA in tandem. The objective of students was to understand Indian Residential Housing Market for a project they are undergoing as their course of work is in collaboration with Amity School of Urban Management.
Amity School of Urban Management along with its Industry partner Earth Infrastructures guided the delegation on Indian Residential Housing Development process. The delegation has already visited Singapore, United States and next is expected to head to Hong Kong with the purpose of studying the Housing Market. The knowledge sharing session involved discussion on Indian Real Estate industry and its tremendous growth potential along with the investment opportunities that exist in this sector. Experts from Amity School of Urban Management and Earth Infrastructures shared their views on the opportunities that exist in Indian Residential sector, which is projected to have twice the population of US living in cities and by 2030 will be contributing around 70% to Indian GDP. To meet this demand for Housing and Infrastructures in cities it is estimated that $1.2 trillion Dollars will be needed.
The visit also comprised of an interaction between Prof. Dr. Gurinder Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor (International), Amity University Uttar Pradesh and the members of the delegation wherein opportunities of scholarly cooperation and exchange between Loyola Marymount University and Amity University were discussed.
