MCHI sets up Mira Road to Virar Unit

Mr. Boman Irani elected President MCHI Mira Road to Virar Unit

In order to extend its reach beyond Mumbai city, Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), the umbrella organization of real estate developers, today announced setting up of MCHI Mira Road to Virar Unit. MCHI nominated Mr. Boman Irani (Chairman and Managing Director Rustomjee) as President and Mr. Shailesh Sanghvi (Sanghvi Group) as Secretary, at the inaugural event held at Mira Road in Thane district today.

The other office bearers of the MCHI Mira Road to Virar Unit include Four vice presidents Mr. Ashit Shah, Mr. Dilip Porwal, Mr. Mehul Thakur, Mr. Chandresh Mehta, Mr. Yogesh Bosmiya (Treasurer), Two coordinators namely Mr. Devendra Ladhani and Mr. Tejas Vyas and three committee members namely Mr. Dilesh Shah, Mr. Praful Tank and Mr. Rakesh Agarwal.

Addressing the large gathering of 100-odd developers from Mira Road to Virar, MCHI President Mr. Sunil Mantri said, “Mira Road, Vasai and Virar are the three localities have seen fastest growth of real estate development due to good infrastructure, affordable pricing and good residential projects. In fact, these localities have contributed lion’s share in the affordable housing in the entire Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). We are sure with the separate unit of the MCHI in the region would further enhance the real estate development in the region”.

MCHI Mira Road to Virar, is the third separate unit of the MCHI after Mumbai. Mr. Rajan Bandelkar, Jt. Secretary MCHI who was instrumental in setting of Mira Road to Virar said, “The newly set up unit is expected to create a benchmark in affordable housing segment in the entire MMR region”.

Mr. Niranjan Hiranandani, past president MCHI recalled the success achieved by the MCHI on various fronts and resolving the vexed issues such as Value Added Tax (VAT) and Urban Land Ceiling Act (ULCA) since inception.

Newly elected President of the MCHI Mira Road to Virar unit Mr. Boman Irani (Chairman and Managing Director Rustomjee) in his address expressed confidence of creating the newly set up unit as one of the strongest chapter of MCHI. According to him the priorities before the newly set up unit would be working towards changing perspective of the area, skill to gauge criticalities of various issues supporting with solution and arranging a common platform for showcasing their properties amongst buyers.

Prominent MCHI office bearers also graced the occasion including Mr. Ashok Mohanani, Mr. Rajan Bandelkar (Hon. Jt. Sec of MCHI), Mr. Zubin Mehta (CEO of MCHI) along with Mr. Jitu Mehta of Thane MCHI and others.
