Mr S Gopalakrishnan (called Kris by his colleagues) has been closely associated with the CII and is involved in several CII initiatives in the region. He was the Deputy Chairman of CII – Southern Region for the year 2009 -10. He was also the Chairman of Innovation Task Force of CII – Southern Region during 2008-09 and Past Chairman of CII – Karnataka State Council during the year 2006-07.
Mr Gopalakrishnan is one of the founders of Infosys Technologies Ltd, a highly respected Consulting, IT services and Business Process Management company operating in the global market. He has played a key role at Infosys in defining the company strategy and in using technology and innovation continuously to maintain its leadership.
He is currently the Chairman of the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM), Kerala, and Vice Chairman of the Board for Information Technology Education Standards (BITES) set up by the Government of Karnataka and he is also a member of ACM, IEEE and IEEE Computer Society.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Physics and a M.Tech in Computer Science from IIT, Madras.
Mr T T Ashok, Managing Director, Taylor Rubber Pvt Ltd, Chennai has been elected as Deputy Chairman of CII – Southern Region for the year 2010 -11.
As an active member, over the past 14 years, Mr Ashok has been closely associated with the CII at the State, Regional and National levels. He was the Chairman of CSR Sub-Committee, CII-Southern Region during 2009-10 and Past Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu State Council during the year 2004-05. He is also a Member of the CII National MSME Council during 2009-10.
With a great passion for social development initiatives, sustainability and enhancing the competitiveness of the MSME sector, Mr Ashok has led several path-breaking initiatives of CII in these core areas.
Mr Ashok holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Eastern Michigan University, USA.
