Indian boxing talents have been making the country proud by winning accolades consistently at all major international championships and have stormed the just concluded 5th Commonwealth Boxing Championship 2010 by winning 6 Gold medals. Looking at the potential of the boxing talents and to further nurture the growing popularity of Indian boxers, Percept Ltd - India’s leading entertainment, media and communications company today signed on 5 young promising Indian boxers as their exclusive ‘Talents’. Percept has got on board Indian pugilists Vijender Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Suranjoy Singh, Jai Bhagwan and Balwinder Beniwal as their exclusive talents for the period of 3 years. Though Percept has had various sports talents from the world of cricket and tennis, this is the first time Percept has entered in talent deal with boxers.

Under this agreement, Percept will completely manage them as a talent and brand. Not only will they cultivate and harness them as highly promising sportsmen who in the future will get India international accolades but also will individually make them a name to reckon with in Indian boxing.

Percept plans to map an unchartered territory for these upcoming talents and will play the conventional role of a brand endorsement agent. In addition, Percept will also charter a strategic road map for these boxers by creating, inculcating and promoting the right confluence for their talent in the Sports, Brands, entertainment, fashion and other relevant sectors. They will manage their career graph by effectively applying them as brand ambassadors for various products and services, Image Endorsements, Professional Contracts, Publishing & Merchandizing, Reality Television, Films etc.

Embarking on this new sporting adventure, Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept Ltd affirmed, “In India, we love action and entertainment. Boxing is both entertainment and action and these stalwarts have proved it repeatedly that our country has abundant boxing talent. The determination, grit and performance that our boxers have shown in the Common wealth boxing championships 2010 only reinforces their talent and commitment. I am extremely delighted to be associated with these pugilists and will try my best to make them a brand and a force to reckon with in India. Our aim will be transforming these pugilists as brands.”

Asian Champion Suranjoy Singh who stormed the finals in the commonwealth championship added “It’s a double whammy for me, the high of reaching the finals of this boxing championship only got better by shaking hands with Percept. I am confident that as my partner they will position me in an apt manner and forebring my talent to the right platform.
