Prithvi Info Solutions wins second SDC order worth Rs 12.5 cr from Haryana

Prithvi Information Solutions Ltd. (PISL), a pioneer in e-governance infrastructure space, won an order worth Rs. 12.5 crore from the government of Haryana to develop its Haryana State Data Center (SDC). The Government of Haryana apparently chose PISL over a host of other bidders like TCS, Wipro, HCL, Reliance, SPANCO and Sify. For Prithvi, this award marks the second in line for SDC development with Nagaland SDC being the first in the previous quarter.

The Haryana SDC will provide single window for accessing the services provided by the state government proving to be a key infrastructure to house the data from various state departments under one roof. On the other hand Prithvi has already started with the execution of Nagaland SDC & is expecting its installation and commissioning of the data center to be ahead of schedule. It expects to start the work on Haryana SDC in four to six weeks.

The SDC program is part of a larger initiative, as part of the National eGovernance Pan (NeGP), of the central government to create infrastructure and platforms to support the various e-Governance initiatives to be rolled out by the center and state governments. This plan details the command center, datacenter infrastructure, network infrastructure and common service centers, required to create the e-governance ecosystem in the country.

As an end to end solutions provider, Prithvi is aiming to provide state governments with State Data Centers (SDC), State Wide Area Network (SWAN) and Common Service Centers (CSC). Prithvi has started to build a substantial pipeline and is confident of achieving its targets. The central government has approved over 1700 crores to support the program. Prithvi is targeting to garner a sizable chunk of the outlay.
