Dr Alan Barnard, CEO of Goldratt Research Labs (USA) will be in India on 29th November to talk in two-day workshop on ‘Critical Chain Project Management’ in New Delhi. Sanjeev Gupta, CEO, Realization, will be another prominent speaker on the occasion and will talk about ‘Doing Projects Right Today.’ The event is organized by ProjectsToday, a division of Economic Research India Pvt Ltd, which monitors 43,000 ongoing projects in India.
“India is on the threshold of economic revolution and she is investing huge sum of money on creating infrastructure and other facilities. Application of Eli Goldratt’s concept of Critical Chain Project Management will help India to achieve her objective much faster and more efficiently. I am glad to come to India and talk about this concept”, said Barnard who will be visiting India for the first time.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, 158 large projects (involving project cost above Rs 1000 crore) currently under various stages of implementation have seen a cost overrun of 21%.
