Sonata Software appoints Ramesh Shastri as Chief Innovation Officer

Strengthens its leadership team to drive growth

Sonata Software, a leading IT consulting and software services provider, today announced the appointment of Mr. Ramesh Shastri as Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, Ramesh will be responsible for tracking and interpreting technology trends, creating IP and solution accelerators, fostering innovation in business models and bringing differentiated solution offerings to market.

Ramesh has over 30 years of industry experience, having worked both in India and the US.  Prior to Sonata, Ramesh was the Managing Director of Spike Source India and was responsible for its overall operations in the country. During his stint with Satyam Computer Services, Ramesh played a key role in pioneering the concept of offshore development centers before it became an industry best practice. He was later responsible for technology verticals in the Semiconductor and Media & Entertainment sectors. Before moving to Satyam, Ramesh was the Chief Operating Officer at Phoenix Global Solutions and Director at Cap Gemini America.

Ramesh was with Sonata in the initial years of his career where he led the Product Development efforts of Sonata’s two most commercially successful products – Prakashak and ResQ.
