Information Technology and Biotechnology Department Principal Secretary Ashok B Manoli on Thursday said industrialists and entrepreneurs should upgrade their technology to provide quality goods and services for market their products and satisfaction of all types of consumers.
Speaking after the inauguration of a two-day “International Conference on Strategic Customer Relationships” at the New Horizon Leadership Institute Marathhally here, Mr Manoli said technology is a key to produce quality products and expand business in the competitive global economy.
With the launch of 3 G mobile services, the technology would be used for effective delivery of various services such as banking, medical and providing daily information to farmers about commodity prices in the market. Technology would usher in revolution in the service sector in the coming days, he said.
Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) President Srinivasa Murthy said many students lack ambition of becoming entrepreneurs after their studies. Gaining knowledge through textbooks alone is not sufficient and there is a need to obtain knowledge through practical experience as well to set up industries in the modern competitive era, he said.
Sudharshan Maini, chairman of Maini Group, spoke about his experience of business deals with various industries and said students should develop attitude of learning from all quarters to gain more knowledge.
Institute Chairman Mohan Manghnani , NHLI Director Dr.s.k.prasad were present. More than 40 speakers from across the country are expected to speak on various aspects of customers’ relations, banking, retail and other sectors of the economy. The conference will conclude on Friday.
