Yahoo! India Research & Development today announced the appointment of Ashish Vikram as Vice President, User and Data Analytics, Yahoo! India R&D. The User and Data Analytics (UDA) team at Yahoo! analyzes petabytes of user data with a view to provide deep insights that are used for development and enhancements of our products.
Ashish is a software industry veteran with over 20 years of professional experience in design and development. Prior to joining Yahoo! Ashish was the Managing Director with Kalido International, a software product company in data warehousing and data governance space where he was instrumental in developing solutions for turning large corporate data into meaningful business information for Fortune 500 companies. Ashish also led OAT Systems and IBM Rational Software Group where he played a crucial role in transforming these start ups into highly productive software development labs.
Yahoo! having the richest repository of user data in the internet world and the opportunity to make sense out of it alongside some of the best minds in the Industry will be challenging and fulfilling for Ashish, who is looking forward to lead the UDA team in India.
Ashish holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, USA.
