Yos announces release of 'Yos Record Management System' for Hospitals
The new version of ‘Yos RMS’ comes with support for various options including ICD-10 codes
Bangalore based Yos Technologies Pvt Ltd (Yos), a Healthcare Software Products and Solutions company, has announced the release of the latest version of its flagship product ‘Yos Record Management System (Yos RMS)’ – a unique Smart Card based solution for managing Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient records.
‘Yos RMS’ allows all the hospital records to be maintained online for better space utilization, enables exchange of data across various locations of the hospital network safely and efficiently and also helps in clinical analysis of data for planning as well as for research. Its light weight architecture and document oriented database keeps resource requirements to minimum while being extremely scalable.

The Record Management System developed by Yos has been deployed in more than 30 hospitals, and is a pay-as-you-grow solution that is tuned to the existing processes of the hospitals, while being flexible enough to cater to future changes. It can be offered as hosted or standalone implementations to suit the level of capital expenditures of hospitals.

The unique features of the ‘Yos RMS’ are:
- Smartcard as the Hospital ID card, with a linked Personal Health Account created for each patient.
- Entire IP hospitalization file (including discharge summary, doctor notes, nurse notes, ICD codes and other details) are appropriately tagged and uploaded into the server.
- Current consultation details (OP) are updated into the server using browser based customized forms (different forms for different specialties such as Pregnancy, Oncology, Immunology, Pediatrics, etc), with reminders for next-visit, medicine intake, lab tests, etc
- During subsequent visits, the doctors / administrative personnel use the patients’ Smart Card to retrieve their previous consultation records. Additional information is fetched from the Personal Health Account of the patient as needed.
- Once these records are updated into the server, relevant information will also be updated into patient’s Smart-Card, which in effect becomes the Hospital file for the patient.
- In addition, the Emergency Care information on the card enables the patient to get Emergency care services at any of the Yos connected hospitals.
