The petitions alleged that Thackeray has hurt the sentiments of the people of the state by blaming Bihari migrants for rising incidents of rape in the country.
They prayed for strong action against the MNS chief for habitually making insulting remarks against Biharis over the years without fear of law.
One of the cases was filed by a native of Khajauli block in Madhubani district, Pawan Kumar Singh, in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate R P Gupta.
The other case was filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in the court of the Muzaffarpur CJM S P Singh.
A case was also filed yesterday against the MNS chief in a West Champaran court.
