"Kolkata will have a Science City-type auditorium and an international convention centre at Alipore. We have already identified the land," Banerjee said at a programme to observe the 150th birth anniversary of poet Dwijendra Lal Roy.
She said that three acres of land has been identified in Alipur where the centre, named after Roy, would come up.
Banerjee said that two film cities would come up in the state providing jobs to many.
While one would located be at Srirampur in Hooghly district, the other one would come up at Dabgram near Siliguri in North Bengal.
