CSE index declines 50 points

The CSE-40 index declined by 50.66 points during the trading session. The local bourse was down 12 points during the day.

The index opened at 5717.72 and during the day lost ground to close at 5667.06.

The trading volume was Rs 26.38 crore from trading of 24 scrips.

Among major scrips, Blueprint Securities was at Rs 307. Infosys Technologies was at Rs 2369.30 at close.

Larsen and Toubro was at Rs 1166 at close. State Bank of India was marginally up at Rs 1860 and Reliance Industries slipped to close at Rs 687.

Tata Steel lost ground to close at Rs 403 and Tata Motors ended at 270.
