Pritam's body found

Bhattacharjee, PHD scholar from Karimganj untraced since July 9, has been found in a badly mutilated condition in Bihar, police said here today.

The body was found late last night near the railway track at Bhagalpur and Bihar police said the miscreants killed Pritam and dumped his body.

The scholar, who had boarded the Assam-Avadh Express from Guwahati on July 8 went missing from Naugachia station the next day.

Miscreants had snatched his laptop and camera during the two-minute halt at the station and the 25 year-old youth chased them on the platform. He has been missing since then.

The youth's family members have gone to Naugachia are getting the body back from Bihar to Karimganj, the police added. PTI COR SB KK
