'Skyfall' screenwriter hopes for an Oscar nomination

Logan has previously been nominated for his work in 'Gladiator', 'The Aviator' and most recently 'Hugo', reported BBC news.

On whether he hoped to get recognition Logan said, "Yes. I think we made a proper movie, which was our goal."

Of the 23 previous Bond movies over the last 49 years, only two have collected Academy Awards, both in technical categories.

'Goldfinger' won best sound effects in 1964 and a year later 'Thunderball' got best visual effects.

There have been reports that Dame Judi Dench could be nominated for her role as M in the movie.
