In an oral reply on behalf of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to Ranjit Kumar Das (BJP) in the Assembly, Hussain gave a district-wise list of the number of persons issued such notices since January 2003.
The highest number of 13,325 notices were issued in Nagaon district, while the hill district of Dima Hasao had the least number of 75 notices as per the list.
To another query, the minister said there were 69 detainees in Goalpara, 35 in Kokrajhar and 11 in Silchar detention centres.
