1 dead, 6 injured in accident

One person was killed while six others were seriously injured when a newspaper laden vehicle scraped another vehicle coming from the opposite direction and overturned in Madhepura district of Bihar today.
Police officials said the accident took place at Chandpur bridge over a small, local rivulet, in the morning.
Kursela Station House Officer (SHO) Anuj Kumar said the vehicle which overturned was travelling from Bhagalpur to Purnia carrying newspapers. Seven persons were also travelling on it.
"The deceased belonged to Madhepura district. His identity is being ascertained. The injured have been admitted to Kursela Primary Health Centre for treatment," the SHO said.
