The moderate intensity bomb explosion at Torkhum check post in the restive Khyber Agency occurred during routine checking by paramilitary forces, official sources in political administration said.
The bomb was planted in the hand cart that was apparently detonated with a remote control device near Torkhum gate where routing checking of people coming to the Pakistani side of the border was underway.
One civilian was killed due to the explosion while two paramilitary personnel were among those injured in Torkhum, Pakistan's border area where people crossed the boundary at Torkhum gate for business activities and meeting relatives.
