1 more dengue death in Cuttack, toll mounts to 3

One more patient succumbed to the disease with steps taken by the state government to check spread of dengue not yielding desired result in Cuttack.
One Chaturbhuja Parida (46) of Jagatpur admitted here last week died this evening at the S C B Medical College and Hospital here as his condition deteriorated during the past 12 hours.
With this, the dengue toll in the Cuttack hospital mounted to three.
An equal number of dengue patients have also died in Keonjhar district so far this year, unconfirmed reports said.
Meanwhile, suspected cases of dengue increased in the state to 586 after 45 more blood samples tested positive to the Elisa test on Monday.
At present, the Cuttack hospital is treating 170 cases of dengue, ten of them under intensive care in critical condition. About half of these patients are from the city alone.
After shutting down one running industry, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today ordered to close three more units in Jagatpur on the ground that they are creating public hazard by not keeping their premises clean.
SDMC has recorded 302 cases, the maximum among all the
regions in the city. North Delhi Municipal Corporation and East Delhi Municipal Corporation have registered 134 and 86 cases respectively, according to the report.
Central Zone of South Delhi Municipal Corporation has recorded 119 cases, the highest among its four zones. Najafgarh, West and and South Zones reported 84, 53 and 46 cases respectively.
For North Delhi Municipal Corporation the cases reported are Sadar Paharganj (11), Rohini (28) and Narela (6), Karol Bagh (16) and City (33) and Civil Lines (40).
This year cases have been reported early. A total of 91 cases were reported in July, six cases were recorded in May, while June witnessed 15 cases.
446 cases have been reported from areas falling outside the jurisdiction of municipal corporations in the city.
While 99 cases were reported from Uttar Pradesh, 35 of those diagnosed with the disease came from Haryana and 276 from other states.
In NDMC area, breeding of mosquitoes was found in 47,710 houses, in SDMC area in 67,045 houses and 17,283 in EDMC area. The number of prosecution launched in these areas were 3,908, 6,191 and 1,720 respectively.
