10 IPS officers transferred in Punjab

In a shake-up at the senior level of police administration in Punjab, ten IPS officers of the rank of Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) were tonight transferred.
Among the 10 IPS officers transferred, Arun Kumar has been made IG Community Policing, while Kuldeep Singh has been transferred as IG Training and Paramraj Singh as IG Zonal Jalandhar, according to an official statement issued here.
Tejinderpal Singh has been made IG Economic Offence Wing (EOW) while Lok Nath has been posted as DIG Border Range Amritsar and Gurinder Singh Dhillon as DIG Jalandhar Range.
R P Mittal has been posted as IG Training Armed Battalion in Jalandhar, while Gautam Cheema is new IG Commando Battalion in Bahadurgarh.
