According to a complaint lodged by the victim's father, the minor was picked up by three youths and brought to a nearby place in the village under Jansath police station where they sodomised him and left him injured.
The boy was found in a serious condition by the passers-by, who later admitted him to a district hospital, the complaint said.
Meanwhile, irate villagers protested over the incident and demanded police to take action against the accused, police said.
According to SHO Jansath, Dhanenjay Mishra, police registered a case against the three absconding youths -- Shablu, Bhura and Shehzad.
