10-year-old raped on temple premises

A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth on a temple premises in Sector-22 area here, on the outskirts of Delhi.
The incident took place on October 22 when the girl had gone to the temple for 'arti', police said.
According to the complaint filed by the minor at Women Police station, the temple priest asked her to take cloths of the deities to the upper floor of the temple building.
The girl was followed by a youth, known to her, to the room, police said, adding that he allegedly raped the girl there.
A case has been registered and the 22-year-old accused, who worked at the temple, was absconding, said ASI Sunita, who is the Investigating Officer of the case.
