In an exceptional case in the history of 166 Military Hospital, a century-old ex-serviceman and veteran of World Wars (Retired) Havildar Mohi-ud-Din was discharged from the hospital today after treatment, a Defence spokesman said.
The veteran has rendered his valuable service to the nation while serving with 7 JAK Rifles and has seen both World Wars and all the four wars post Independence during his tenure in the Army.
Brig M M Harjai, Commandant, Military Hospital, took personal interest and monitored the full treatment, the spokesman said.
On his discharge from the hospital, the veteran walked to his home comfortably, he said.
