The mishap occurred at around noon when a total of nine passengers were travelling in the four-wheeler, which was heading towards Rajahmumndry from Visakhapatnam, when it jumped over the divider and rammed into a lorry coming from opposite direction on Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada NH-16 near Kagitha village, Nakkapalli Police Station inspector, L Ramana said.
Due to sudden collision of car, tyre of the lorry burst and the heavy vehicle hit a two-wheeler, the officer said.
A police team has reached the spot and further details are being gathered, he added.
