11 Sri Lankan fishermen arrested in AP

Eleven Sri Lankan fishermen were today arrested when they illegally entered the waters near Kakinada sea port in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district.
"The eleven�Sri Lankan fishermen came in two boats with some equipment to venture into the sea. They entered illegally into the waters," Kakinada Marine police said.
Besides arresting the fishermen, two boats and some fishing-related equipment were seized, they said.
The state government had earlier announced a 45-day ban on fishing in sea to protect marine life.
