11 students injured as bridge collapses in Kashmir

At least 11 students were injured when a bridge, they were crossing, collapsed in Anantnag district of south Kashmir, police said today.
The bridge at Vesses collapsed as students of Government High School in the area were crossing it, resulting in injuries to 11 students, a police spokesman said.
The bridge was damaged due to the recent floods, he said.
The students were given first-aid locally, while a Class VII girl, Seerat, was referred to the district hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
Her condition was stated to be stable, he said.
