: The body of a 11-year old boy, who was reported missing since February seven, was found in a well in a farm in Kolathupalayam on the city outskirts today.
Police said Karthikeyan had gone to play that evening and did not return home, following which his parents lodged a complaint with police and a search was launched.
Today some farm workers noticed a foul smell emanating from the well and informed the owners and police.
The body was later retrieved aand sent for post mortem.
Police suspect that the boy might have slipped into the well when he tried to catch pigeons, which are found in large numbers in and round the spot.
