Two persons have been arrested in connection with the incident last evening, they said.
The girl is an orphan and has been living with her maternal uncle. She was working as a domestic help. She was returning from work when the incident happened, a police official said.
"She has named two persons and both of them have been arrested. Strict action is being taken in the case," the official said.
