To add more variety, cut flowers and national flowers would be imported and showcased at the 119th edition of the event, to be held from May 15 at the picturesque Government Botanical Garden as part of the summer festival, Director of Horticulture Department L Chitrasenan told reporters here today.
The summer festival, which draws tourists from across the country and abroad, will begin with the 8th Vegetable Show at Kotagiri (May 2-3), followed by 6th Spices Show at Gudalur (May 8-9).
For the first time, the tickets for the shows will be sold online, he said.
