12 convicted in murder of college student

Twelve people were today convicted by a district court in connection with the murder case of a college student in 2014.
Seventh Additional District Judge held 12 of the accused guilty and ordered unconditional release of one person.
Sourav Chowdhury, a college student, was murdered at Bamungachi and his body recovered from near the railway line on July 5, 2014.
Police had charge sheeted 13 persons and interrogated 42 people in the case.
The quantum of punishment will be pronounced tomorrow.
