Nashik Municipal Corporation has demolished as many as 12 illegal religious structures in city limits.
"These structures were constructed unauthorised at various places in NMC's east division after 2009," a release stated.
The anti-encroachment squad of the civic body under municipal commissioner Abhikshek Krishna and other senior officers pulled down these structures at 12 places.
"As per the directives from High Court and state government, NMC had earlier served notices to 84 religious places which were constructed unauthorised near different roads, urging them to remove the encroachment themselves," it said.
