Twelve people have been suffering from dengue in Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, health officials said.
"These people hailed from various parts of Burdwan district. They were admitted with high fever and other symptoms of dengue in the medical college," Deputy CMOH-II Dr Dipayan Haldar said.
Last year, many people living at Pandebshwar and Andal areas of the district suffered from dengue.
The health officials have undertaken awareness campaigns to prevent spread of the mosquito-borne disease.
