13 arrested, Rs 1.85 crore in scrapped notes seized

The city police today arrested 13 people for allegedly trying to exchange Rs 1.85 crore in demonetised currency.
The accused had gathered near Hockey Ground in Begumpet, Secunderabad, and were "trying to exchange demonetised old currency through agents", a police release said.
Police also seized two cars from their possession.
The accused were booked under Specified Bank Notes (Cessation of Liabilities) Act, 2017. Begumpet police were conducting further probe.
