The sarpanches (village head) from the Nowshera Assembly segment joined PDP in the presence of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed here and assured to work for the victory of party candidate from the seat Surinder Choudhary.
Welcoming them, Mufti claimed the joining of such a large number of sarpanches from Nowshera area is a clear indication that PDP is going to create history in the assembly elections.
Seeking a decisive mandate from the people to "change political discourse" of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti said PDP would present a vision document to address wishes and aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the state.
"Now people want development and progress and PDP is committed to implement developmental agenda in J&K," he said.
Besides the sarpanches, Dr Naseema Choudhary, who was a member of BJP's State Working Committee and Electoral Committee, also joined PDP.
