14 JS appointed in mid-level bureaucractic reshuffle

As many as 14 Joint Secretary level officers have been appointed to various ministries as part of mid-level bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the government.
Debashri Mukherjee, a 1991 batch IAS officer of union territories cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
She has been appointed in place of M Devaraj, 1996 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, who had been earlier shifted to Cabinet Secretariat.
Vani S Rao, a 1994 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved Rao's empanelment to hold the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Centre, an order issued today by the DoPT said.
She was in December last year appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry.
Gargi Kaul, a 1984 batch officer of Indian Audit and Accounts Service, has been appointed as Joint Secretary and Financial Advisor in Ministry of Civil Aviation, another DoPT order said.
She has been appointed in place of M Sathiyavathy who has been earlier appointed as Director General in Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
IAS officer Rajiv Ranjan Mishra has been appointed as Joint Secretary in Department of Housing and Poverty Alleviation.
T V S N Prasad has been appointed in Mishra's place as Joint Secretary and Mission Director, National Mission for Clean Ganga.
B Rajendar, a 1995 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, has been appointed as JS in Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, it said.
Rajiv Aggarwal has been appointed as JS in Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.
K Damyanti, a 1993 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, has been appointed JS in Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, the order said.
S Ramaswamy has been appointed in place of Damyanti as Joint Secretary in Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.
Manisha Prasad Panwar has been appointed as JS in Department of Health and Family Welfare.
Rajesh Kumar has been appointed in her place as JS, Ministry of Women and Child Development.
R P Meena, a 1993 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in Department of Health Research.
Madhukar Gupta has been appointed as JS in Department of Public Enterprises. Ishita Roy has been appointed as JS in Department of Higher Education.
