The accused, Hiralal (35), was arrested yesterday after the principal of the school the girl studies at lodged an FIR in the matter.
The girl told of her ordeal to her teacher who then informed the principal about it, SP Sweta Dhankar said today, adding that a medical test on the girl has confirmed rape.
The accused was today produced before a local court which remanded him in 14 days' judicial custody.
