Customs Superintendent S K Raman said the seizure was made at Sikrahna bridge on National Highway (NH) 28A under Sugauli police station in the district.
"We had put up a general checking on the bridge, and discovered this consignment of charas in bus plying from Raxaul on the Indo-Nepal border to Gopalganj. The narcotics substance was sealed in plastic packets of half kg each and kept in a bag in the vehicle," Raman said.
Raman also said that the narcotic substance is understood to have been brought from Nepal to be supplied at various places in our country.
