seized by Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials today at Thuampui near here and a woman was arrested in connection with it.
State excise and narcotics commissioner L Hmunsanga said the contraband, reportedly smuggled from Myanmar, was allegedly brought to Aizawl from the Myanmar border in Champhai district.
The woman, who had brought the contraband was booked under sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
The officials, with the help of local Young Mizo Assciation (YMA) volunteers arrested four drug addicts along with small quantity of heroin and a few syringes and needles.
