15 injured as bus falls into ditch in Ghaziabad

Fifteen persons, including three women, were injured when a bus fell into a ditch in Dhollana area here this morning, police said.
The incident took place around 10 AM. The private bus ferrying nearly 30 passengers fell into the ditch near Gang Canal while trying to overtake a car, police said.
Some of the injured have been identified as Rohit, Sonu, Jagdish, Manoj and Ramesh.
"As the bus fell into the ditch, locals rushed to rescue passengers who were taken to a nearby hospital. Most passengers received minor injuries on their hands, heads and legs. Three women were also injured in the incident," said a senior police official.

The injured were discharged from the hospital after first-aid, the official said, adding that the role of bus driver Brijesh Kumar was being investigated.
