Rescuers are searching a 64-year-old man from Taiwan who went missing yesterday after the boat with 16 tourists aboard capsized in the Guanyan scenic area in Guilin, said the Guangxi Tourism Administration.
The rapid currents and improper operation of boatmen caused the capsize, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The tourists were organised by a local travel agency in Guilin.
Tourism authorities in Guilin have ordered scenic spots which were hit by heavy rains recently to halt hosting tourists.
